MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2024 for International Students:
Applications is available for applicant that is interested in applying for MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2024 in Taiwan. All International Students from all over the world are eligible to apply for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Taiwan Fellowship Program. The MOFA Fellowship was established and is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
The main goal of the Fully Funded Fellowship program is to reward foreign experts and scholars interested in research on topics related to Taiwan, cross-street relations, Asia-Pacific region and science. Selected Fellows will be chance to conduct cutting-edge research at Taiwanese universities or educational institutions.
Taiwan Fellowship offers 12 fellowship positions dedicated to applicants, scholars and developing APEC economists. Applicants must be foreign nationals who are professors, associate professors, assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students in related fields at foreign universities.
Fellowships last 3 to 12 months. The MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is open for application in May and June each year, and recipients will conduct their research in Taiwan in early January next year.
So far, 934 scholars from 78 countries have been accepted through this program. Taiwan Fellowship, reiterating the APEC Scholarship Initiative, provides opening opportunities for 12 Chinese Taipei APEC Fellowships each year, especially for scholars and experts developing APEC economies. The total number of recipients is subject to MOFA’s annual budget

Financial Benefits:
- Monthly grant is paid at the beginning of each month.
- One Professor, Associate Professors, Research Fellow, or Associate Research Fellow: NT$60,000
- Assistant Professors, Assistant Research Fellows, or Doctoral Candidates: NT$50,000.
- One round trip, economy class ticket for the most direct route to Taiwan (MOFA will decide the subsidy in accordance with the relevant regulations).
- The terms of friendship are 3 to 12 months.
- Accident insurance (plus medical insurance for accidental injuries) NT $ 1 million coverage.

- Applicants must be citizens of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member countries.
- Candidates should be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, doctoral program students.
- Research Fellows of Overseas Educational Institutions are also welcome to apply.
- Your area of specialization should include humanities related to social sciences or Taiwan, cross street relations, mainland China, Asia Pacific, or other aspects of Chinese studies.
